Feather is a lightweight open-source Monero wallet for Windows, macOS and Linux. It syncs in minutes against a remote node instead of downloading the whole chain, and it can route its traffic over Tor. That makes it a practical desktop home for XMR you actually control. Swapping into it on 0trace needs no account and nothing to connect — you paste an address, that's the entire integration.
Get your Monero address from Feather
- Install Feather from the official project site and create a new wallet, or open an existing one.
- Write the seed phrase down offline. It is the only way to restore the wallet if the machine dies.
- Open the receive view and copy the address shown there.
Feather gives you a primary address and lets you generate subaddresses. Either works as a payout destination — a subaddress is just as valid on our side, and using a fresh one per swap keeps your own bookkeeping cleaner. We do not care which you paste and we do not store it after the order is gone.
Create the order on 0trace
- Pick what you are sending and choose Monero as the asset you receive.
- Paste the Feather address as the payout destination.
- Check the amount you will receive — the service fee and the Monero network cost are already deducted, so the figure shown is what lands in Feather.
- Download the Guarantee before you send anything.
The Guarantee is a PGP-signed document that pins the deposit address, the amounts, the rate type and your payout address. Verify it with any OpenPGP tool — gpg --verify against our published key — or on the verify page. It is signed before you part with funds, which is the point: you hold proof of the terms independently of us.
Send the deposit and let it settle
Send the exact amount the order shows, from any wallet or exchange. Minimum swap size is $40. Once your deposit confirms, the Monero payout goes out automatically to the Feather address — usually within minutes. Completed orders are removed after 72 hours, and the encrypted order chat is purged after 24.
Tor users
Feather can run its own traffic over Tor, and 0trace has no Cloudflare in front of it, so you can create the order over Tor without captcha walls. Nothing about the swap changes — same rate, same flow.
